Someone Else's Wisdom

Can't seem to muster any original or insightful or interesting or humorous thought. So I thought I'd post this quote.
A time will come when a politician who has willfully made war and promoted international dissension will be as sure of the dock and much surer of the noose than a private homicide. It is not reasonable that those who gamble with men's lives should not stake their own.

H.G. Wells (1866-1946)

Wow, amazing quote. That was prophetic for Germany after WWII...

But unfortunately, that appears to be the exception in human history rather than the rule, as recent events in our own nation attest.

An optimistic quote, isn't it? If only... I still hope that he proves to be in the right of things.
