I have been cultivating my online persona "Knight of Nothing" since January of this year. I have many channels that use the moniker: gmail, blogger, stumble upon, myspace, dire cafe, and so on. Yesterday, anticipating my glorious video-making enterprise, I went to add a YouTube profile to Knight of Nothing's domain, only to find that some person in Chile had created a Knight of Nothing account back in May! Rats.
I actually wrote him to ask if I could have the user name. He was gracious enough to reply, but unfortunately for me he has become quite attached to the title as well. So, there is now more than one Knight of Nothing out there. Shucks! I thought I had come up with something original for once. Dammat!

yeah, there is already another tequila mockingbird. i was devastated. i think you should go to Chile and challenge the other Knight of Nothing to a joust. winner takes the name. put that on youtube.
Oddly, there's only one ladieslovetk
Eureka! Tequila, that is fucking genius. Thanks for the suggestion. You're #1 in my liquor cabinet.
LLTK, that is not odd at all. The ladies of the world couldn't handle another TK. They'd melt.
Just for the heck of it, I checked to see if YoungStranger was available. It's not.
i usually find that there's another lacifer out there, even when i add my birthdate at the end. hmpf.

My writing buddy Jim was WAY ahead of the curve, as far as the Internet is concerned. He took the domain name "cyberpoet.com" and has been using it to publish his own (and other people's) work for a very long, long time.
I'm sure many Internet-savvy poets have been cursing him ever since.
Hey John, cool that Jim got the domain name, but I think we'd need to work out multidimensional fractals to figure out how many folks are out there with the user name "cyber-poet"! ;-) On the other hand, YoungStranger has gotta be pretty rare, and I think it should be yours.
You'll have to explain the meaning behind Lacifer... Did I ever tell you I love the term "hmpf"? It's so economical yet expressive.
Maybe you could be the Knight De Nada sort of a cultural exchange thingee.
Caballero de Nada!
Well, I've signed up and reserved "youngstrangertv." I can live with that.
